ABOUT ME

My name is Chidi Ndubueze, LPC, LADC/MH, ADSAC Assessor, and SYMBIS Facilitator. The process of Recovery, Healing, and Change is a journey, and sometimes we need someone to walk alongside us. That is what I do as a therapist. I do not change my clients. I do not fix my clients’ problems. I walk with them on their individual journeys, providing them with the tools that help them challenge the thoughts or beliefs that cause them overwhelming emotions, unhealthy interactions, or destructive behaviors.

I will help you work through the stressors that interfere with your peace and work towards healing from events and experiences that have left crippling effects on your emotional, relational, vocational, and spiritual life. We struggle when we do not experience peace in various aspects of our lives. Depression or anxiety is the absence of peace in our emotions. Couples fight in the absence of peace in their relationships. People engage in destructive behaviors in their quest to quench the emotional unrest they feel powerless to handle.  Addictive behaviors are our way of seeking a form of peace in our body or mind. But God has promised us a peace that transcends understanding even in the most awful situations. We will develop positive coping skills to deal with life stressors, replacing negative thought patterns with a positive thought process, so you can reclaim your PEACE, emotionally, relationally, and physically.

I utilize an inclusive approach of counseling in my practice because I consider each individual unique. Even when the experience or challenge seems the same, our emotional responses can differ. At my initial meeting with you, I will utilize client-centered therapeutic techniques to build rapport and create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and have equal control over the therapeutic process. Then I will gradually incorporate behavioral and cognitive techniques to help you challenge the thoughts, beliefs, or perception of yourself, others, or situations, which hinders your ability to recover, heal, or change.

None of us is immune to life's stressors, but effective therapy can help us remain at peace as we seek meaning from our most disappointing or devastating experiences.
